All internal lubricated parts of the engine, including pistons, piston rings, piston pins, crankshaft, connecting rod and main bearing, camshaft and camshaft bearings, intake and exhaust valves, valve springs, oil pump, push rods, rocker arms, lifters and rocker arm. The engine block and cylinder Heads are also covered only if the above listed parts caused a mechanical failure of the block or cylinder heads. This warranty does not include any Parts other than what is supplied by Speed-O-Motive, Inc. Seals and gaskets are replaced only as part of the repair or replacement of the above covered components.
I) ELIGIBILITY:
a) Speed-O-Motive, Inc. will warrant each engine to be free of defects in material and workmanship. This will only be applicable to the original purchaser. This warranty becomes effective on the date of invoice and shall remain in effect for two years. Purchaser must ship product or parts shipped for inspection or repair pursuant to this Warranty with prepaid transportation. Return shipping charges will be the exclusive responsibility of the purchaser.
2) COVERAGE:
a) Speed-O-Motive, Inc. sole and exclusive obligation under this warranty shall be limited to replacing defective parts or, at their option, replacing such part or parts with remanufactured parts as shall be necessary to remedy any covered malfunction. Speed-O-Motive, Inc. reserves the right to improve the design of any product without assuming any obligation to modify any product previously produced.
Should a failure occur of any kind, it must be reported immediately to Speed-O-Motive, Inc. Speed-O-Motive, Inc. engine assemblies will be used unless Speed-O-Motive, Inc has other repair arrangements. Any unauthorized repairs or modification performed be any other person voids this warranty.
3) EXCLUSIONS:
a) This warranty applies to defects in material and workmanship but excludes to normal wear and tear to parts or components, periodic, tune-ups or damage caused by:
b) Neglect, over revving, over heating, abuse, lack of maintenance, pre-ignition, accident, abnormal operation, improper installation or operation of the product with unsuitable fuel, oils, or lubricants
c) All implied or express warranties of merchantability and fitness whether arising by statute or common law, are specifically and expressly excluded from this warranty, if the covered components have been modified, tampered with or subject to unauthorized repairs ( other than scheduled periodic maintenance)
d) Use of any accessory i.e.: blower, supercharger/turbo charger or nitrous oxide system.
e) The participation in, or the preparation for, racing or other competitive activities or the removal or modification of existing parts for other than their intended use without Speed-O-Motive's expressed authorized written permission.
f) Failure of a covered component within the first 90 days due to improper installation or failure to follow Speed-O-Motive's installation, or failure to properly pre-oil the engine will void this warranty and will be the sole responsibility of the customer, This includes damaged camshaft or lifter from improper break-in procedure, also excessive cylinder or ring wear from fuel wash-down or excessively rich mixture.
g) All marine applications of any kind are excluded.
4) EXCEPTIONS:
REASONABLE ACCESS MUST BE PROVIDED TO THE PRODUCT FOR WARRANTY INSPECTION._ This warranty will not apply to the following:
a) Speed-O-Motive, Inc. is responsible only for the covered components when originally purchased by the owner and which appear on the sales invoice.
b) Speed-O-Motive, Inc is not responsible if the covered components have been abused or damaged in an accident.
c) Speed-O-Motive, Inc is not responsible if the covered components have been tampered with or altered. Damaged or abuse through towing, improper load capacity or continued operation of an impaired engine voids this warranty.
d) Blown heads gaskets, fluid leaks, cracked cylinder heads or block, overheating or other failures due to lack of fluids or improper maintenance are not covered.
e) Repairs because of collision, misuse, road conditions, negligence, alterations, racing, fires, floods, riots, vandalism, theft or acts of God are not covered.
f) This warranty does not cover such things as loss of use of the vehicle, loss of earnings, personal damages, per diem expenses or any other consequential or incidental damages.
g) Towing and storage, the labor cost of removal reinstallation of said engine, telephone or rental charges of any type of inconvenience(s) are not covered.
5) MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS:
To obtain the benefits provided under this warranty it is the responsibility of the owner to:
a) Require that the engine oil and filter be changed every four months or four thousand miles, whichever occurs first. Proper documentation and verifiable receipts from a commercial oil change facility for oil and filter changes will be required in the event of a claim. Other service receipts and invoices may be requested in the event of a claim.
6) CLAIM PROCEDURE:
In the case of covered components, call Speed-O-Motive, Inc at (626) 869-0270 for claim validation. You will be required under this warranty to pay the cost of returning any products or parts shipped for inspection or repair. Have all required documentation prepared to submit to Speed-O-Motive Inc including sales invoice, proof of maintenance of all covered components as outlined in item 5 MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS, documented failure of any covered components. This warranty is valid only in the United States and Canada. Failure to receive Speed-O-Motive, Inc. authorization prior to any repair work will invalidate any warranty claim. Any interpretation of or dispute addressing the subject matter of this agreement will decided exclusively in the County of Los Angeles, State of California and customer waives any challenges to such forum or venue.
